  2. We love to just take nature walks and look at the lovely leaves changing colors, the birds and flowers.
    My kids names are Kyra, Zach, Trey and Wyatt.
    Thank you so much, my kids get to pick from our ‘treasure chest’ if they are especially good during schooltime or know something that I think is beyond them. Bookmarks are one of the things I like to put in it.

    my daughters love to play outside with leaves in the fall. They also like to do leaf rubbings and use paint with different leaves to make different pictures. Their names are Holly and Kristen

  13. We live in the desert SW, so autumn is the season where the temps finally drop below 100 degrees! My children love to decorate for fall by placing fall silk bouquets around the house, with silk fall leaves and miniature gourds and pumpkins.

    My preschoolers like to go on a leaf hunt in the classroom. I diecut leaves in fall colors. After telling them what we are doing, I throw the leaves up in the air and let them fall where they will. The children collect the leaves and we use them for a sort, count, and graph activity.

  21. We are very lucky to live up in the mountains and our area is known for apple picking. We just went to one of the local farms today and got apples, apple butter and apple cider. I made apple crisp this evening for dessert. Yum, apple season!! We also love to go on nature walks but that is all the time and any season (: My kiddos’ names are Jessica and Angelina.

  32. Fall is still like summer for us because we live in Florida. We are still swimming and going to the beach here. I was born in Pennsylvania, so I miss the leaves changing.

  36. Our favorite season here in MN is autumn! We love to go to the Fall Harvest Orchard and pick pumpkins and apples. And, there’s nothing better than the smell of a bonfire in the fall!

  37. We love the fall weather! My kids love to jump and run through piles of leaves. We love our fall crafts…every year we make handprint turkeys and more recently, scarecrows stuffed with raffia. Another thing we look forward to the Harvest Party held at the home of one of our friends. Great fun! :-)

  38. We know when fall comes, it is time to start on our homemade christmas crafts. We love the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground. We rake them into big piles and jump into them. We do leaf rubbings, and pine cone and spiney pine art work. On cool or rainy days we love to cuddle up with a good book and travel the world right from the comfort of home. I would love a bookmark for Mckayla, Pam, Lakin and Mike.

  40. Forgot to post our favorite fall activity… that would be ummm a toss up between the thankful tree where we write things we are thankful about on to paper “hands” and put them on the wall like the leaves of a tree… see a picture from a few years ago on my daughters blog here:

    our other favorite is making homemade applesauce to eat all year long. We are out of our homemade adn no one will eat the store bought stuff, so we are all looking forward to making it this year!

  41. Jumping in the leaves would be my daughter, Kylee’s, favorite activity. It takes twice as long to get the yard cleaned but the fun is definitely worth it . . . . although my husband may not agree :)

    We forgot to tell what we like to do in the Fall…
    We take nature walks, rake piles of leaves for the younger ones to bury themselves in…We collect the leaves that have changed colors to press between wax paper, then hang them in windows or on the wall.
    Again my childrens names are:

  56. We love going to a little place near our home called The Little Farmer. It is an apple orchard/pumpkin patch. They have goats to feed and a nice play area for all the kids. The hayride into the woods is awesome!! We go there every year. The apples and pies are excellent!!
